most of the energy recovery in HVAC system is in the form of Energy Recovery Unit, which is used as central or individual equipment to supply the fresh air into the building in summer and winter, this component includes a heat changer which encounter the outside air and exhaust air to increase the air temperature into the building in winter or decrease in the summer. Sometime this is a part of AHU or Dedicated Outside Air System (DOAS).
